In a fit of abject exasperation, I tried calling the Lenovo Philippines commercial customer inquiry, toll-free. The lady matter-of-factly reiterated what every other distributor I've inquired with has said--and to you, too-- before: no word on distribution/the matter is dealt only by higher management/etc. She teasingly did mention that she could have our ruby reds shipped, but only after an intensive inquiry into my company, the quantity of the purchase and my desired specs. For the latter she had this to say: "So habol mo lang talaga yung red? (To put it simply, you're just after the red ones?)".
With a mingled feeling of hope and desperation, I said yes. And only afterwards did I notice the hint of sarcasm hanging like a blade in the air.
I guess the only way for us to get the red s10 in the Philippines now is if we do band together. Only until December though, I'm at the end of my late-adopter rope and will probably pull the trigger on the new batch of notes debuting this Christmas.
Just as a segue, if the distributors in your area are getting tired of the constant red s10 questioning, try asking them about the Lenovo u330. That gets them excited enough to answer back.
