Hi Guys

Like a few members before I am having problem with 10.6.3 using the guide on the first post.

I can boot the smaller drive and select the install dvd(larger pendrive)

It starts to boot but I am also getting a CPU mismatch/kernel Panic

... "Version mis-match between Kernel and CPU" CPU PN~@/SourceCache/xnu/xnu-1504.3.12/osfmk/i386/pmCPU/c:720

*PHEW*

Any one got a solution that I could try?

Thanks

Paul

i am a frustated man tonight!!
after 3 days of struggling trials & errors i finally had a parfect install dual boot 10.6.0/WIN7 on my lenovo s10
i followed silverzero only windows/usb tuto for osx install with a retail 10.6.0 & NBI,
then install Win7 on the second partition,
set the macosx partition active in WIN7
then got dual boot with easybcd in WIN7
after few trials, i chose NBI as i had native sound (HDA)(not with enabler...)
as everybody, i got the mic, ethernet and the sleep issue (which i don't really bother),
and some french keyboard layout issues (no big deal)
i was pleased and did full install of all programs on both OS ( & all windows updates, SP1 etc)
i then upgraded to 10.6.2 thru this method: http://xsolutions.free.fr/home/netbook/ ... 10.6.2.php

it updated fine but i lost native sound (HDA) and instead of repairing i ran multibeast thinking it would correct the audio (its the only thing i selected in the setup) ,

it killed the all thing, i could not boot anymore in osx (can't find mach_kernel).... either from windows boot nor from the usb boot key
The WIN7 partition is fine & i can boot it

i reformatted (blank) both USB drives and macosx partition on the internal HDD,
redone the all transmac/images/files change process
but now when i want to make a fresh osx install, when i click the os x install dvd icon (from the small usb boot key), i get a "can't find mach_kernel"

The MultiBeast killed me!!

Any idea about what i should do to be able to do a new fresh install??
i really need a hand there!!
another thing is if i get hold of an external DVD drive to do the install instead of usb drive, i don't know how to write the DVD changing the 2 files for the MBR (it makes the dual boot so much easier then...)
i'll stick to 10.6.0 with dual boot if anybody can help?? pleaaase??!!
