HELP!! Keyboard doesn't respond anymore

I have a problem: my keyboard doesn't respond anymore to anything. I'm not even able to reboot in safe mode. Only the cursor works. Everything else works fine (internet etc.) Anybody?

Can you enter the BIOS on reboot? If the keyboard is not responding even before heading into Windows, you've got a hardware issue. You can get service done on it, or just open it up yourself and check the keyboard flat cable, if it's loose you'll know. There are some tear-down service videos linked somewhere here from a long time ago.

If you need to back up critical files before sending it in for repairs, just plug in a USB keyboard. It will work unless you have a bigger problem with the motherboard.
