Hello everyone,
I tried to search for a related topic and I know there is a topic about a "fix" for the webcam to work in Photo Booth but I have a question about the camera "version".
I ordered two S10's and installed OSX Snow Leopard on both of them.
Netbook #1 - webcam does not work in PhotoBooth. Here's the data on system profiler:
Lenovo EasyCamera:
Product ID: 0x0241
Vendor ID: 0x5986
Version: 3.10
Speed: Up to 480 Mb/sec
Manufacturer: BISON Corporation
Location ID: 0xfd300000
Current Available (mA): 500
Current Required (mA): 500
Netbook #2 - webcam works in PhotoBooth.
Lenovo EasyCamera:
Product ID: 0x0241
Vendor ID: 0x5986
Version: 14.05
Speed: Up to 480 Mb/sec
Manufacturer: BISON Corporation
Location ID: 0xfd300000
Current Available (mA): 500
Current Required (mA): 500
If you notice, they have a different version number (v3.10 vs. v14.05). Both netbooks have been upgraded to BIOS version 14CN96WW prior to the installation of OSX. They are the same netbook (black refurb S10 with product code 4333) and bought at the same time so I was just wondering if there is a way to get the camera firmware of Netbook #1 to version 14.05.
I have installed OSX on both Netbooks the same way by using S10 Snow Leopard Enabler 1.1.13. The only difference is in Netbook #1 (non-working camera in Photobooth), I ran windows update on XP before reformatting the PC and installing OSX.
Thanks
