when completing the installation it came up with a message saying its picked up ethernet port... i didn't try it but i get the yellow light with a new eth1 port shown in network settings.

Please try & post back if successful!
From the PdaNet website.. "During installation PdaNet will add an ethernet interface ("en2" in most cases) to your network list". So I guess it's just that you've seen this new IP over USB "ethernet port" installed for iPhone tethering, and it's unfortunately not related to the on-board Ethernet port.

Anyone have success upgrading the OS to 10.6.3? I was trying to follow Meklort's Blog; he seems to have found a way to do it. But, I'm having trouble following the process.

Anyone have a simpler way to outline the steps?

Thanx in advance......

Except audio I have everything working thanks to your excellent tutorial!

Somehow everytime I try to install the VoodooHDA kext (C part 6) on my 1005 HA (NetbookInstaller 0.8.4 RC1, SL 6.2) I am creating a kernel panic after rebooting... I am a total n00b with this, is there a way to install the kext on another way (why for instance can't I put the kext in the /Extra/GeneralExtensions folder?). I also cannot find the panic log on the harddisk. I know that this kext is working because I used it on the MacEee install tuturial. Anyone has an idea how get this last part working or can point me in the right direction?
