SL hangs on first boot

Postby jamesia » Thu Jan 28, 2010 6:23 pm

I just finished installing SL via the enabler on a USB flash drive. After installing, it hangs at the "apple spinning circle" screen. -v shows "ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin etc etc etc timed out" being the last line visible. The install went perfectly. I also notice that the apple logo is stretched compared to during the install process... which makes me wonder if I'm supposed to run the enabler against the hdd i installed on. Any ideas?

For anyone that has the same issue:

Well, I'm not entirely sure what happened. I performed a reinstall, which went much quicker (40 min as opposed to 1.5 hrs last time). I did 'erase' the drive again with disk utility. Anyhow, the reinstall worked and everything appears functional. The keyboard was not recognized at first (on 1st boot), but I ignored the error and by the end of the initial set up all was well.
