Working really well for me (touches head) must say it is a major inprovement over the last one (fan)

Havent had any issues yet ie wireless and Blutooth working fine

Okay take that back fan still is on all the time and i am just playing music over bluetooth, starting to get annoying also random shutdowns arrhh the life on the bleeding edge

Hey guys,
I just flashed the new Bios on my S10e from 67 to 92 and I'm really happy with it. The most time there's no sound from the fan, and if it's running it's not that loud than before. I think it's an improvement.

New Bios 14CN92WW Feedback

Postby jnoor » Sun Jun 28, 2009 2:36 am

Hey guys,

Lenovo just release the new 14CN92WW bios. I wonder if any of you guys tried it out yet. I have been reading it online that the fan on the S10 suddenly does not work properly (eg. Never active/On, Temp is really high on the S10). So if there is any feedbacks on it, pls write it here coz i also dont know whether to install it yet. I m currently running at 38 bios...

hey, as I mentioned in the driver section everything is running well. I got a s10e and I think the fan is much better running. There's less fan activity and it's only running very heavy when there is a lot to do..give it a try

I agree, I have installed this update and the fan no longer pulses between full power and off... If it needs to be on it comes on at a low setting constantly until it's cool enough again.

All works well here, too. My fan was hardly ever running except after about 10 minutes of video or something to begin with thanks to fixing the heatsink, and it still doesn't. :) I did notice that the fan now kicks on to full speed for about 1 second right after powering on, a bit annoying but nothing too bad.
