I'd imagine it does.. it works on my turion 64 2ghz/768mb of ram piece of crap that I'm trading for a lenovo s10. The gma950 chipset is probably better than my old xpress200m... and I've seen it (the s10) run games like GTA:VC quite smoothly. Spore's not very demanding.

Edit: I just tried it for the hell of it earlier today and it worked. I can't say it ran perfectly smooth, but it's playable if you're willing to accept mediocre framerates.
