Beep when connecting/disconnecting ac adapter

Postby ZenTech » Fri Feb 06, 2009 9:37 am

I have windows 7 installed and I can't seem to be able to mute the pc beep function. How do i disable this beep or can i? It's not a huge deal and I can live with it but was just wondering if anyone was able to disable it under windows 7?

Are you using the Realtek HD Audio Manager? If so, open it from the taskbar. You should find the PC beep volume control in there.

When I was running Windows 7 on my S10, the Vista driver worked.

Using the preinstalled drivers from Win7 does not make the beep sound when connecting & disconnecting.

Is the sound better from the S10 with the realtek drivers compared to the preinstalled Win7 drivers? I'm just trying my best not to have too much stuff to load on this little fella cos it might just kill it alltogether
