HP wireless mouse

Postby Deuxdad » Fri May 06, 2011 12:10 pm

I just got this Lenovo S10-? and I know nothing about it (it was a gift). Anyway, I would like to be able to use my old HP wireless mouse on it but can't get it to work. I ran the installation CD which came with the mouse (which I've never had to do on any other computer) and disabled the touchpad (FN-F6) but it still won't work. The mouse comes with a receiver which plugs into any USB port and has a tiny LED which lights when the mouse is moved. When I move the mouse the led lights as it's supposed to but the cursor won't move.

Will this mouse work on this computer? What am I missing?

TIA,
Deuxdad

You dont need to disable touchpad to make Your usb mouse operational. You said it was gift? First of all check with some usb memory flash if Your usb port is ok, then try this mouse on other computer, maybe your OS is broken and try to reinstall.
