Weird Power Up Problem

In the last few weeks a problem has emerged with my S10-2. I've had it for over a year and it has worked fine. I do have the Broadcom CrystalHD Mini PCIe card, and a different wireless Mini PCIe card (RT73 Chipset), and upgraded RAM (2GB). However, this hardware combination has been working for many months.

What happens is that after I power down, I can't power the netbook back up, unless I remove the battery for at least 40 minutes. I can't even power it up with the battery removed and the AC adapter plugged in unless I wait the 40 minutes. The AC adapter charges the battery just fine when everything is connected.
