New S Series netbooks announced

An 11.6 inch AMD dual-core E-350 CPU powered IdeaPad S205 and a 10.1 inch Intel Aton N570 powered IdeaPad S100. Engadget is stating 2.2 pounds for both models but I believe this is a mistake as the press release states only about the S100 weighing 2.2 pounds. Both models to be released in March...I'll believe it when I see it!

Definitely interested in the 11.6 inch AMD model IdeaPad S205.

I saw the CNet blog before reading this thread; and with the new ThinkPad X- and E-series, as well as the for-China-at-present LePad and Win7 tablet, it's good news Lenovo hasn't abandoned the S-series. Doesn't say though if the S100 wil be upped to 1280x720 which is still feasible on a 10.1-inch screen.

Edit: Didya see the close-ups of the keyboards at http://shop.lenovo.com/us/products/new-products/ ? They're now pseudo-chiclet like the X100e and Edge keyboards! Oh, but it says the S100 may not be available in the US while the S205 won't be at all.

Damn it! What the hell is wrong with Lenovo! Lenovo never releases the goods here in the states! You are so lucky!
