GTA San Andreas

Postby Pipoxtreme » Mon May 18, 2009 8:35 am

How can I let GTA San Andreas work on my Lenovo S10e ?
I Read a lot that it should work.

Here's how I am trying to do this.
I open "Downscaler switcher" and switch my resolution to 800x600 or any resolution that is compatible with the game.

When i try to open the game he always says "800x600x32 Mode not found"

Is there anything else I have to change in the game exe file or so?
Please let me now.

Thanks

I had this Problem, too. The easiest way to fix that is:

1. Put a larger Screen on the VGA.
2. start San Andreas
3. Go to settings and change under advanced the resolution setting to 640x480x32.
4. Save that and enjoy the game.

Sorry, my english is very bad because I'm in the 8th class and the school-english is laughly.

Thanks.

Only thing is that there's no external screen in the neighboorhood and it's not going to for the next 4 months.
Isn't there another way to change this?

Maybe in a settings.ini file somewhere.

Yes, all game settings stored in "My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files\gta_sa.set".

This works for me, I currently play GTA on my S10 and also have not too much trouble playing the mulitiplayer third party patch. Thanks for the information, I wouldn't have been able to play without it. :)

This is a forever problem for me with several games. Some work by adding -w in shortcut, but most don't. SA is the only game I really want to play, but it doesn't work either.

How can I change the resolution SA starts with, not counting the game menu? It seems I gotta get gta_sa.set with minium graphic settings from somewhere.

I might be able to use a 17 inch screen with better native resolution, that I could use for changing the resolution settings, but it's not really the preferred route to go right now.

Good news.
I finally managed to get San Andreas to start without any external screen.
You need utility named GTA SA Ultimate Editor to set resolution smaller than original 800x600
