I'd be surprised if no one else here visits The Official Site of Benjamin J Heckendorn, but his latest mod just blew my socks off: a Commodore 64 laptop! I kid you not. How I wish something like this was done in the 80's, so that I'd have an extra 64. The SX-64 was groundbreaking but barely portable (more like luggable), and when Commodore had its LCD prototype, it could have used that technology for a lightweight 64. Still, better late than never.

Very cool. I never had a Commodore 64 but I did own a Tandy CoCo 3. It would of been awesome if I had a laptop version of it...back then.

Yes yes i've heard of Mr. Heck.

I'd love to replicate some of his stuff, especially the 360 laptops but I don't have the skill, or the tools, or a 360 to spare.
