Turn off trackpad when mouse is attached.

Hey everyone, just want to thank you guys for this forum, as I am happily running Snow Leopard on my s10.

I was having some issues in that while I was typing in Word, my hand would be brushing against the trackpad, and would open the dock, or move the cursor to another part of the page. In looking for a "turn off trackpad" option in OS X I noticed that pressing Fn + F6 would disable the trackpad!

Another score for the s10!

funny thing, I was having the same "issue" brushing up on the touchpad. I looked around on the keyboard and noticed f6 and tried it out.. boom it works... Yes S10 is a great lil machine. I just wished the right shiftkey was better placed.

I think most laptops have a key to turn off the trackpad, for the very reason you're talking about. My HP, for instance, actually has a small button right above the trackpad that turns it on and off.

^ yeah I had an HP DV3 i think the recent 13.3" model. It was built to be superior to my MacBook Pro but I just didn't like the quality of the body. It was creaky and felt "cheap" at $1100 after the rebates and discounts it was still pricey

The trackpad on Lenovo S10 seems erratic (sometimes make wild/random movement) in Mac OSX.
Any update to trackpad driver required?

Thanks.

Mine does as well. It's maddening. Has anyone come across a fix yet?

Mine does that too. I am using a USB mouse pretty much all the time now. Glad to know I can turn off the trackpad.

Try adjusting the trackpad's sensitivity in System Preferences. Lowering it lessened the amount of accidental clicks.

Hello,
I am still having this Problem (mouse is clicking while random movement).
Is there any new Idea for a solution?
Already reinstalled it several times...

I would guess this Problem is not reproducable with all the S10e because it would be fixed otherwised.

Its realy quite hard to use it with that crappy mouse, does any1 have an idea?

Pls help...
