To get 128M you must simply load default settings in BIOS. BUT! You'l get 128M even if you have 1GB RAM. And after loading defaults you can get back 64M only after bios reflashing ;)

Noway :( Lenovo's Phoenix bios for s9/10 is EXTRMELY POOR and only one phoenix bios editor, that i'v found can't even recognize some lenovo's bios segments. Segments that was recognized - rather useless for us, imho.
BTW - Pll in S9/10 is useless for overclockimg too :(

Best I could get was 128mb also, 2gb of ram and using the newest Intel drivers I could find

The bios thing did work for me to go from 64mb to 128mb, I'm assuming that will be the max regardless of how the bios is hacked.

Great tip! I just did this and now I'm showing 128MB Graphic RAM. I also have 2GB RAM. I wonder if this change make a difference that's noticable.

The only thing I noticed when I did this, was Painting in photoshop CS4 was noticably less laggy (it honestly didn't have any lag on very small files anyway)

Video playback was a bit smoother. OpenGL didn't appear to make much difference, but I did notice that DAZ3D was prone to crashing on occasion depending on the driver settings, if I set it to Large memory footprint, and a few other tweaks, it was less frequent, and when I got it to recognize 128m, the crashing stopped.

This is interesting: I have 2gb of RAM, and have upgraded to the newest bios version on my S10, and I run Windows Vista Ultimate. When I go to graphic properties I see the maximum amount of video RAM as 256mb. Here's a couple of screenshots:

There's obviously a difference between Vista and XP, I booted off an HDD I created with vista ultimate and it shows 256 also, but XP shows 128, obviously a different driver, the most current intel driver I found was dated 2/2008 even when I installed the newest Intel GMA release.

I wonder if this is another case of Vista reporting the maximum potential memory instead of the maximum useable memory.

It's like when Vista says the system has 2.5GB of memory, but in reality only 2GB is useable. In this case Vista is saying there is potentially 256MB of maximum video memory, even though it can only use 128MB.

Where's this BIOS upgrade? The lenovo website only shows version 1.0 BIOS. :(
