Recently received the hellowifi BT from ebay, and it works great. Installation is straight forward. The only extra thing I had to do during installation was to wrap the little connector cord with electrical tape so static nois does not come out of the adjacent speaker.

Has anyone used the Hellowifi card with Mac OS X? And if so, does sleep work?

I have yet to see ANYONE report being able to sleep on 10.5.6 w/ HelloWifi bluetooth.

Me too, but I also haven't seen anyone say it doesn't. Since it sleeps with a USB BT module, there may be something specific to the OEM module that is the problem.

I actually removed the wire "tie" from the middle of the wiring harness... I found it much easier to cleanly route the wires that way, after plugging it into the connectors... :geek:

Additionally, I am using the Lenovo (broadcom) BT stack which works fine.

No, I did that and got mine the very next day. (Shipping options were $10 for ground or $13 for overnight.)

I have not had problems with my S10 sleeping with the hellowi-fi bt module (stock s10 running xp and lenovo bt driver). The only thing that I do not like about the hello wi-fi bt module is if you install the unit with the included screw, the antenna faces down and limits your range. I ended up using double side tape and flipping the module so the antenna is on the top. This made a huge difference. If I ever covered the area on the palm rest with my hand while listen to my bt stereo headset I would loose connection. I now have eliminated all of the issues I was having by flipping it.

I've been a browser on this board for a while. Just an FYI for anyone thinking about picking up the Lenovo bluetooth parts. The cables (part 44C9902) are on backorder until March 6, 2009. I ordered a pair over a week ago and was told 1 was in stock and 1 would be on backorder (along with 1 and 1 for the modules). I received both modules today and called on status of the cables when I was given the revised backorder info. I thought that going the Lenovo route would be quicker than the ebay route, but that is not the case currently. I've also got 2 S10's on order, the the ship date keeps getting bumped (next "ship date" set for tomorrow).

Interesting note. I'll have to test that out eventually when I get my mouse and possibly headphones.

I just got my module today and popped it in. Worked right away with no problems. I just let xp find the drivers and I've successfully transferred files to my phone.

Thanks hellowifi!
