So are there any big differences btwn the v2.0 and v2.1 adapters?

Will the Hellowifi adapter support A2DP for stereo headphones?

I was also considering the option of buying one of those tiny usb adapters.
Something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Tiny-Bluetooth-2-1- ... .m20.l1116

Any advantages or disadvantages going this route?

Any idea when bluetooth v3.0 will be out?

Thanks! :P

Advantages to an external BT dongle:

Super easy installation and removal.
Easy upgrades. Just replace it.

Disadvantages:

Uses 1 of the two USB slots.
sticks out of the S10 and can get caught on fabrics or the bag you carry it in.

I went for an internal BT module because I need both USB ports open. I like to transfer data between my USB thumb drive and an external USB hard drive. Though there really isn't anything wrong with an external BT dongle. Many people here use it. The decision is up to you. :)

Yeah, I forgot to consider the loss of one usb port.

I just bought my s10 so I'm pretty excited and guess I wasn't thinking about all the drawbacks.

Any idea on the difference btwn v2.0 and v2.1 bluetooth?

I'd love to be able to use wireless headphones and I'm not sure if 2.0 supports that.

Thank you!

I'm not really sure what the differences are between 2.0 and 2.1 are. I use mine mainly to sync to cell phones and a bluetooth mouse I have.

I believe the differences are just: lower BT device power consumption, better BT connection reliability (and security), and introduction of NFC (transferring items just by putting 2 properly configured BT 2.1 devices within inches of each other).

I purchased mine from Hellowifi and successfully installed.

Experience to share incl:

1. They ship 4 days after receive my payment and I receive in 1 day (I am in HK and they sent by courier)
2. The clip of the plam rest on both side just pop off. It do not require any effort to open. But my first trial to re-assemble it do not success. The screw is tighten but the two clip is not well align. So be careful to check if you close it tight.
3. The module cable is a bit differ from the description and photo. The black thing is in the middle. And it is really tiny. It took me some time to trial and error before I can successfully plug it. So I attached the 3 picture below. You can see which side should face upward. I guess both end of the cable is the same.

4. Upon install and boot, the machine shows found new hardware "Acer XXXXX". I click cancel and download the Lenovo driver. The direct link from Hellowifi do not work and the 1st link jump the the follow page and I select from there:

5. Done!

Thanks to the help from all of you.
